Policies, shipping, orders, and editions.

  • We offer two types of preorders: Open Preorders and Limited Preorders, and cancellation policies differ between the two.

    Open Preorders

    Orders placed during an Open Preorder may be canceled at any time while the preorder window is open. To request a cancellation, email info@imaginebooksshopllc.com with your order number before the preorder closes.

    Once the Open Preorder period has closed, orders can no longer be canceled or refunded. After that timeframe, all sales are final and we will not cancel and/or refund the order as items move into production.

    If your cancellation request is sent before the preorder closes, it will be honored even if our response is sent after the preorder period has ended.

    Limited Preorders

    Orders placed during a Limited Preorder may be canceled within 14 days of purchase. After the 14-day cancellation window has passed, all Limited Preorder sales are final, even if the preorder has not yet sold out.

    Once a Limited Preorder sells out or closes, no cancellations or refunds are permitted unless otherwise clearly stated.

  • All sales are final for any leftover and/or scratch and dent items. We do not accept cancellations or refunds for these products.

  • Returned Packages

    If a package is returned to us due to delivery failure, being unclaimed, or an incorrect address provided by the customer, we will reship the order once the correct address is confirmed. Customers are responsible for any additional shipping costs.

    If a package is returned because the customer refused to pay customs or import fees, we may cancel current and future orders.

    If a package is returned and you choose not to pay for reshipping, we will issue a refund for the cost of the items only, not the shipping that has already occurred.

    Address Changes

    Shipping addresses can be updated before shipping labels are purchased or printed by emailing info@imaginebooksshopllc.com. Once a label has been created, we may not be able to make changes.

    Updating the default address in your account settings will apply only to future orders. Existing orders must still be updated manually by contacting us at info@imaginebooksshopllc.com.

  • Customers must pay their own duties and import fees.

  • Please note that not every one of our special editions is the same. All customizations are listed on the product page. Please see our FAQ page for more information or email info@imaginebooksshopllc.com.

    Does a Resale Edition Have the Same Amount of Customizations as a Full Special Edition?

    A resale edition has 2–3 customizations depending on whether or not the edition has sprayed or printed edges. We do not count an overlay as a customization because it is not printed into the book.

    A full special edition has 4–8 customizations. Please note that this varies between projects. We always provide a list of customizations on the product sale page. If you have any questions please send us an email.

  • A resale edition means that the book was created by the publishing company that owns the rights rather than being printed by Imagine Books Shop, which means the timeline will most likely be faster. Our resale editions come with a front and reverse dust jacket and a page overlay. Sometimes they come with the option to purchase an additional overlay.

    Resale editions often ship faster because only the dust jackets and overlays have to be specially manufactured.

  • We can ship everywhere excluding Germany due to shipping and import complications.

  • You can change your shipping address before the shipping label is created. Please be aware that if you change your default address in your Shopify account settings, that will update your address for future orders only.

    Any current orders already placed will need to be updated by us. To do so, please email info@imaginebooksshopllc.com.

  • For Open Preorders, you can order as many copies as you'd like. The only time you will be limited for an Open Preorder is if the books are signed. We normally have a limited number of signed books, so you'll be able to order one signed copy and as many unsigned copies as you'd like.

    For Limited Preorders, it depends on the size of the print run that Imagine Books Shop has secured with the publisher. If there is enough stock, customers are allowed to purchase two sets. If not, we will limit customers to one set. We will announce the number of sets customers are allowed to purchase before the preorder starts.

  • You may combine preorders with merchandise products. Please be aware that preorders normally take 5–6 months to ship. If you purchase another product alongside a preorder, your entire order will ship at the same time.

  • Please email us at info@imaginebooksshopllc.com with your name, order number, and photos of the damaged item.

    How to request a replacement: Submit damage reports via info@imaginebooksshopllc.com.

    Time frame to report: Customers must report any qualifying damages within 14 days of delivery.

    Required information: Your order number, a brief explanation of the damage, and photos. If possible, also include a photo of the box your books were shipped in.

    Approval process: A member of our customer service team will review the information and reach out with next steps.

    Replacement availability: We often have limited stock. If the damaged item is in stock we will provide a replacement as soon as we can. We are a small team and it may take a little while.

    Return shipping for merchandise: We reserve the right to ask you to send back the original item. If we make such a request, a shipping label will be provided at our expense.

    We will replace or refund if your item has the following damages:

    Books: Tears, rips, or visible scratches on the front cover, dust jacket, or spine larger than 1 cm. Missing or torn pages. Unsecured or loose binding. Extremely blurry edges. Extreme dings or dents larger than 1.5 cm affecting readability or display. Torn dust jacket impairing appearance. Sticky or oily residue that cannot be removed.

    Merchandise: Cracks, tears, or rips. Broken items.

Boys of Tommen

We want to share an important update regarding international orders. Due to an internal contractual error, international sales rights were incorrectly reflected in our agreement with Sourcebooks. Unfortunately, the issue was only identified after the books had already gone on sale.

Here’s what this means going forward:

- All international orders placed before February 1 will be fully honored and fulfilled.

- We are no longer able to accept new international orders for this series.

- Our rights to sell within North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico) remain fully in place. If you are located in one of these countries, this update does not affect your order or ability to purchase.

Imagine Books Shop and Sourcebooks understand this update may be disappointing for some customers. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this issue is clarified and addressed.

Lastly, we want to be very clear that Chloe Walsh had no involvement in this error.

  • Yes. Given the circumstances surrounding the international rights issue, we are making an exception to the standard cancellation window. Please contact us at info@imaginebooksshopllc.com with your order number and we will process your cancellation.

  • There is no limit. We originally had a two-book-per-customer restriction but that has been lifted. You may order as many copies as you'd like.

  • We are not able to support or authorize the use of forwarding services.

  • Boys of Tommen is currently available within North America only — the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This is due to a contractual limitation on international sales rights that was identified after the series went on sale. We are working with Sourcebooks to clarify the situation and appreciate your patience.

  • Yes. All international orders placed before 1 February 2026 will be honored in full. Orders placed after that date have been cancelled. We are genuinely sorry for the disruption this has caused.
